Everyone who came to the 10th Annual Marriage Retreat enjoyed themselves tremendously! This year we held the event online because of the Covid-19. We did not know that would mean we would experience double the numbers that we were used to having. Our host Minister, Student Minister Donald Muhammad was wonderful in
“The Marriage Keepers started by Brother Marcus Muhammad and his wife Sis Cecelia Muhammad is one of the most important if not, the most important aspect of building a Strong Nation. We are taught that family is the cornerstone of a strong community, a strong community produces a strong nation that honors God and practices good morals. The Marriage Keepers and the Marriage Retreats acts to keep us grounded in our duty to Family, which is only second to our duty to God. What I love the most about the Marriage Retreats is that it 1. Strengthens Marriages that are already strong. 2. Bring couples that are struggling in an atmosphere that doesn't restimulate them, give them tools from the teachings of THEM as given to us by the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan. 3. Couples from the NOI and the general community get a chance to realize they are not alone in their struggle to become one. 4. The Marriage Retreat introduces us to couples from across the United States, so it helps to establish great support groups and dynamic mentorships from couples who have valuable years of Marriage. In my opinion, every married couple in the NOI should try to make at least one retreat every 3 years.
The Marriage Retreat covers in workshop environments the necessary tools to help us navigate through life's challenges. The workshops deal with Spiritual, Emotional, Social, and Economical realities in life. Those who have attended The Retreats most left with a newfound spirit to fight for the sanctity of Marriage and be an example for others. I'm so honored to be a Proud Card-Carrying Member Of "The Marriage Keepers".
